overall, we were very happy with our three-night stay at this hotel. the location is excellent, central but off the main drag so it was quiet in the evening. our room was really spacious and had just enough furniture for comfort. The bed was very comfy. in fact, it was the best night's sleep i've experienced in a hotel for quite some time. the decor was simple, but fine.
slight grumbles include that the bathroom had some black mould on the ceiling and the mirror was very rusty. outside areas are neglected with rubbish lying around and a sad-looking garden.

Historical significance and charm, Access to beautiful garden space, Engaging afternoon tea experience
Issues with cleanliness in rooms, especially bathrooms!!! The room size felt cramped, not what I expected for the price!!! Eliminate the frosted glass bathroom walls. total lack of privacy is awkward, especially for families!!!
